I have been using DSL for a long time and everything are just running fine but then I would have to move to another location and I was told that it would be a little expensive for me to move the service and it would be better to apply for a new connection. Having told this, I thought it would be nice to try getting a satellite internet connection to the new place since I kept on getting some good reviews for this kind of internet service. My new neighbor recommended that I use Hughes satellite internet because it is what he is using and he told me that the reception is always good and he even invited me in to his house to see it for myself.

I decided to put it on a test by going to the web sites that I know would eat up a lot of bandwidth and low and behold, when I simultaneously opened a video in YouTube, the connection was still pretty fine, and to think that he also had a P2P program running that time. I was convinced and made sure I get the same connection that he has, which is what I am using right now as I write this.

When my boyfriend and I decided to move in our new home in San Francisco, the first things that we settled are home appliances, furniture and kitchenware. We actually cook our own food so we make sure that we have a good set of cutlery and cooking materials. Aside from cooking, we both love watching movies so we bought a new entertainment system because movie tickets are one of the most expensive things on earth. There was an appliance sale on a nearby mall so we grabbed the opportunity to have on of those entertainment centers that I’ve always dreamed of – a 40% discount isn’t that too bad is it?! It’s also actually a nice thing to watch a movie at the comforts of your own home – especially watching through a huge LCD TV with a full Dolby Digital surround sound! It brings you to a higher level of movie viewing experience!

By the way, we also limit our dining out to save us some money so we rather cook at home. One of our pastimes is staying home at the weekend watching movies while waiting for weekend football. There’s no such comfort like lying in our new leather sofa, while cuddling and cheering for your favorite team. Complete with popcorn and drinks! And of course – a cozy room atmosphere is way better than going to the movies and seating for almost two hours in a plain theater seat! This has become one of our greatest bonding moments and the intimacy gives us more connection and the feeling of togetherness. At first, we thought of buying a lazy boy, but the price seems to be out of reach and it isn’t really that practical because it’s just good for a single person. From various leather sofas available, we came up with the decision of getting a softgrain black three seater sofa online. Until now, we are grateful for this one of a kind home comfort. No need to spend more money going out on a date and what’s even better is that we get to spend more private moments together!

Thankful for My Safety

I just saw the news on what happened to the three disasters that struck the world, starting with the Philippines and its struggle to cope up with the great flood that its citizens are facing right now due to a strong typhoon. Then a couple of days later, two separate earthquakes occurred in Indonesia, California and Samoa, that caused billions of dollars lost, with Indonesia losing a lot of its infrastructure, where a lot of people died, and a lot are still missing, while Samoa is also trying to bounce back from the flood due to tsunami caused by an earthquake in the Pacific Ocean. I’ve seen a lot of properties destroyed and most of the people in those places probably won’t have enough courage to face the future. It seems that disaster is everywhere nowadays and.

I am just really thankful that those things did not happen to me, especially right now that I just moved to a new place, where all of my stuff are fairly new, especially those ones that I just bought recently. I actually got a new LCD TV and new sofa beds online for me and my kids. I couldn’t just imagine all of my furniture soaked up in flood water. That is one of the scariest things that could ever happen to me.

Actually, I have just started to decorate my living room and my bedrooms and I was thinking that if I got struck with just one of the disasters I mentioned above, I am just not sure what would become of me and my family. Anyhow, for now, I am currently focused with our home renovation. There’s still a lot of unused space which we could use as our entertainment room which we still don’t have. Perhaps, we could place the a sofa bed in there and then mount the LCD TV on the wall. All we just need is a rack to hold our game consoles and entertainment system. The entertainment room is a very important space in our house since we consider this as a place where we could spend our time together as a family.

For the Love of Bathing

My wife and I are currently trying to decide if we would stay with the bath screens that we have right now for the showers, or do we install quadrants instead so we could have the shower separated from the bath tub. It has been a bit of an inconvenience that the shower is also with the tub because sometimes, when one of us is using the tub, one of us can’t use the shower. Don’t get me wrong though because of course we can take a bath together… the problem is when she is on the tub and I am in a hurry for an appointment, I end up being late, which gets me in to trouble most of the time, especially if it is from work, which is often the case. I already checked out some web site to see what could we purchase for the bathroom and I found some interesting ones with some really good designs. My wife already saw them and she’s starting to think about it. She’s thinking twice about it because she said we might be able to get away without it so as to save some money. I guess I have to work double time to convince her that we really need it.

Torn Between Baltimore and Columbia

I was just given a notice that I will be transferred to Maryland to handle one of the departments in there. It will be the promotion that I have been waiting for and my wife told me that we should move to the state so everything would be easier. She said she has a friend there that owns a restaurant, which she can basically take advantage because she said her friend have been asking her to be the head chef but kept on turning it down. I have contacted Baltimore Maryland Real Estate to see if we could get a good place to live in. So far, they have shown me some nice property choices and they are all near some good establishments so I’m thinking I should get one in there, although, Columbia Maryland Real Estate has also given me some nice choices. Columbia is also known for great shopping places, which should make my wife really happy. Both places are near the work places that we both have, that’s why I am having some second thoughts. I guess the best way to deal with it is to ask my attorney about this so we could brainstorm on which one would be better.

Special Place for My Special Meds

I am thinking of building a special cabinet inside my bathroom because my medicine cabinet just can’t contain all of the things that I put in there. For some reason, I was not really blessed with a good health so I have to maintain a lot of medications if I want to live a normal life. I got medicines for diabetes that I have to put in the bathroom cabinet, some glucose test strips, glucose monitoring system, medicines for high blood and medication for the kidney transplant that I had when I was a kid. All of these medications are the ones that are letting me live normal so of course, I would only be right to make sure that I have a special place to keep them safe, and away from children as well. My only dilemma right now is deciding whether I buy one or do I just make one myself… the thing is, if I just make it myself, it would definitely be cheaper and it would give me some time with myself. But then again, it has been a while since I actually did carpentry and I am just not sure if I could still make some good stuff because the last time I made one was way back in high school.

My Home Appliance Wish List

Living in a small apartment and I often eating out means less home appliance and more mobile to anyone. In my humble kitchen lie a couple of Teflon pans and pots along with my set of eating utensils and coffee mugs. I’ve got a personal fridge, rice cooker, a single stove and coffee maker for they are all necessities to me. In my room are TV set, DVD player, my laptop and a lot of books. I’m thinking of buying other home appliances but that will be a little later when my boyfriend and I decided to live together. Included in my wish list are bigger and stainless refrigerators, an oven with a complete baking set, a dishwasher since both of us don’t like washing dishes but we love cooking though and a home entertainment system would marvelous. I would also like to have a set of cutting edge knives and most of the stuff that I see in the home shopping networks. But then I won’t be deceived; the local stores have them so I might as well go for them than spend more pennies in buying their marketing strategies. The rest, especially the expensive ones can always wait.
